bouquets

I was looking over the example ribbon wrapping pictures and it might look good doing it like the one with pink fabric underneath and the hot pink ribbon on top, but we'd have to do it opposite...whadya think?

Monday, July 20, 2009

bouquet wraps

So here are my first attempts.  I thought silver underneath would be pretty since they'll be wearing silver shoes, but it turns out I don't really like it.  I didn't take a whole lot of time lining up the braid or worrying about spacing.  I just wanted to get an idea of what it would look like.  I like the other two.  If you want cream underneath we could wrap it in ribbon first like I did here or do a fabric wrap like Martha does here:
which gives it a smoother look.

this one

This one is cute too.

which wrap did you want?

Completed today

Ordered 70 yards tulle
Found out which Joanns in Texas have bells
Sent security deposit, rental money, and rental agreement to New
Braunfels Conservation Society.
Finished flower girl's head wreath by putting bells on the six ribbons
that hang down from the back.
Mailed 1/3 of the invitations.

Flowers and bows, oh my!

I just got home from ordering the rest of the flowers for the bouquets and centerpieces and the rest of the pew bows.

Yeah!

Unfortunately, I realized on the way home that I should have probably gone ahead and bought flowers for the pew arrangements, because since we'll be having purple tablecloths, it would be better to have a pink arrangement since they'll be used as table decorations.

What do you think?

bouquet take 100

okay, now that I have that picture next to yours, they look very similar!!! yours is better, looks nicer...

bouquet take 50

I like something similar to this but without the babies breath or whatever that is....a little less green as well....maybe little blue flowers in there....dark blue would probably be best, right?

bouquest

I did find some more examples:

like this?

I couldn't get the colors to work so I thought I'd just send
instructions.

to-do

According to my website, at 2 months we are supposed to confirm all of our reservations...I would think we might need to only confirm with the dj, send the money to boothBooth, and maybe confirm with Comal Rental if you haven't talked to them.

I really like the top bouquet out of all of them...the one with white roses, but I would like purple with splashes of blue...what do you think?

Church stuff

I emailed Debbie about getting in contact with the church Micah got baptized at...should be in Long Island! Hopefully that will be done soon!

Today

I ordered Summer's baptismal record and had it sent to Sts. P&P attn: Deacon Brandt
I painted all non-silver frames (and my hand hurts!)
I confirmed shower reservation at the Conservation Plaza.

Program

Begin forwarded message:

I am thinking something similar to this, with the ivory cardstock and your purple instead of the chocolate brown.  I looked at a lot of programs, and there were some more modern, and some more artsy, but I thought this sort of went with your wedding.  What do you think?  Also, what do you think about including the information about "please stand," "please sit," "please join in on the refrain," etc.? (from the other email)

As guests entered Carlyn and Brian's ceremony space, they picked up copies of the couple's program. The simple, elegant programs were accented with chocolate brown to tie in the wedding colors.

chair cover again

Here is the chair with just a flower.  I'm not sure about tying a sash or tulle around it because of the way it ties in the back.  I think it would look better with something tucked in.

White universal chair cover with a red sash

This is what the chair cover looks like with a sash.  I wonder what it would look like with a purple ribbon rose...

Jodee & Steve - Our Wedding Site

Just recently had their wedding.  They were able to reserve hotel rooms.  Do you want me to try calling those hotels, or stick with what we have?

http://site7543.wedshare.com/outoftown.html

change color of linen?

> Since the chair covers are ivory, I'm wondering if we should change
> the table linens. Maybe purple tablecloth with champagne napkins?

music delivered

Today I also delivered the music to Barbara. I clearly marked the
portion to be repeated while the bridesmaids were going down the
aisle, and the sheet music actually has "entrance of bride" or
something like that marked above the part where you wanted to start
your procession.

chair covers

I stopped by the convention center today because the lady at Comal
Rental said they were doing a big reception there and using the
covers. The only color they have is ivory. The tablecloths in the
picture were not ivory, but "twilight," which is between white and
ivory. Notice how the cover has to be tied at the back.

Ceremony - Songs

Prelude: "So this is love", "Tale as old as time", "Once upon a dream"
(if she needs to fill more time, plays "over the rainbow" and "a whole new world")

Recessional: "That is how you know" - from the movie Enchanted

Whadya think??

Dollar Dance: Brown-eyed Girl...???

Update

I got a black scrapbook for the photo booth table...also about 13.5 yards of dark purple 1.5" wide satin ribbon...and some purple M&M's!

While I was at Michaels I also saw some oversized martini, margarita, and brandy glasses for about 15 bucks each.

Do you still have my cutouts for my bridal hair??
